Always Smoky Corridors are filled with smoke even when they are powered. Does nothing outwith Smoky Ship mode.

Breath Amount The maximum number of seconds the player may be in smoke with a breath drain of 1.

Breath Recovery The amount of breath to recover per second outside of smoke.

Brute Ability Active Time Set the active time of Brute's charge ability.

Brute Ability Speed Multiplier Give the Brute an additional speed multiplier on top of the inherent speed increase due to the charging animation.

Chaos Multiplier Increases or decreases the probability of settings being used and the magnitude of each setting.

Dark Ship Almost all lights on the ship are turned off. Combines well with the Fiend.

Death Countdown Kills the player after a specified number of seconds. Activates after leaving the starter room.

Disable Helicopter You will not be able to use the helicopter to escape.

Disable Liferaft You will not be able to use the liferaft to escape.

Disable Submersible You will not be able to use the submersible to escape.

Enable Crew VS Monster Mode Lets the second player control the monster. Each monster has a unique ability that the monster player can use with the crouch button. Hunter can double tap to use their ability differently while in hiding or trapping. Hiding spots can be searched with the jump button. Requires a restart to change and multiplayer to be enabled. The AI can be given back control by pressing the journal button, which lets the normal AI be spectated.

Enable Multiplayer Mode Local co-op multiplayer that can be played online via programs such as Parsec. The first player uses the keyboard and the second a controller. Can be played split screen or with two monitors if two monitors using the same resolution are connected and the use multiple displays option is enabled. If a player were to die normally, they are downed instead and can be revived by throwing a smashable onto them. Requires a restart to change.

Escape Conditions You cannot use escape routes until you have completed a number of three tasks. Power up 3 fuse boxes, turn off the master steam valve or have a flare gun and backpack.

Escape Routes To Win The number / percentage of all escape routes you need to fully prepare to win.

Extra Chaotic IMF Picking up any item will spawn an additional monster. Must start the game with at least 2 monsters.

Fiend Ability Active Time Set the active time of Fiend's door lock and EMP ability.

Fiend Ability Aura Range Multiplier Set the multiplier of how much Fiend's aura is changed during the ability.

Fiend Ability Cooldown Time Set the cooldown time of Fiend's door lock and EMP ability.

Fiend Ability Door Lock Range Set how far from where the Fiend is looking doors should be locked during the ability.

Fog Density How quickly the camera fog thickens over distance. Setting it to 0 calculates density based on near and far distance.

Fog Far Distance How far away from the player the end point of the camera fog is.

Fog Near Distance How far away from the player the start point of the camera fog is.

Foggy Ship Creates fog in front of the player, stopping them from seeing what is ahead of them.

Foggy Ship Alternative Mode Creates particle fog instead of simply not rendering past the fog distance.

Give Monster An Inventory Lets monster players use an inventory like a crew player.

Glowstick Hunt A few glowsticks are chosen at random to be of a different colour than the rest. Activating all of the special glowsticks will prepare the liferaft for you.

Gravity X Acceleration Changes the acceleration due to gravity in the x axis.

Gravity Y Acceleration Changes the acceleration due to gravity in the y axis.

Gravity Z Acceleration Changes the acceleration due to gravity in the z axis.

Helicopter Fuel Amount The number of fuel cans required to fuel the helicopter.

Let Monster Use Interactive Objects Lets monster players interact with certain objects that play fixed animations for the player like dragging the liferaft or turning steam handles.

Lightly Locked Doors If Custom Doors Mode is active, sets upper deck doors to normal doors and lower deck doors to engine room doors. Then, locks all the doors and spawns a welding kit for you to open them. As with Custom Door Type Mode, requires a restart to enable or disable.

Monster Spawn Speedrun Spawns a new monster after each time a specified number of seconds has passed. Only starts after all original monsters have spawned. Must start the game with at least 2 monsters or force MMM to be enabled.

Monster Spawning Limit Limit the maximum number of monsters that can spawn via settings that spawn additional monsters during the round. 0 means no limit.

Monster Vision Affected By Fog Makes monster vision be affected by the fog, meaning that monsters will not see you from beyond it.

No Glowstick Hunt Finale Stops the finale from activating at the end of glowstick hunt.

No Hiding You will not be invisible to the monster in a hiding spot.

No Time Freeze In Pause Menu The game will not be paused while using the pause menu.

Number Of Monster Player Selects which player will be the monster player. Can be either 1 or 2.

Overpowered Hiding Spots The monsters will not be able to search any hiding spots.

Powerable Lights Lights can be powered on again while Dark Ship is enabled. Does nothing outwith Dark Ship mode.

Randomiser Mode Randomises which settings are used and what they are set to.

Scavenger Mode Shows the distance to an uncollected item to the player. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Show Death Countdown Displays the number of seconds you have left in a death countdown round. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Smoke Corridor Breath Drain The amount of breath to drain per second inside of a smoke corridor.

Smoke Shroud Breath Drain The amount of breath to drain per second inside of a smoke shroud.

Smoky Ship Fills the ship's corridors with dangerous smoke when they are unpowered.

Special Glowsticks Required Sets how many glowsticks are required to start the Glowstick Hunt finale. The colours used cycle through the colours of the rainbow.

Special Glowsticks To Create Sets how many normal glowsticks will be selected to be special glowsticks when the round starts. Will always be set to at least the number of special glowsticks required.

Start With AI Having Control Starts Crew VS Monsters rounds with the AI having control over the monster. Useful if you simply want to use the mode for spectating the monster without having to press the control transfer button.

Submersible Charge Time The number of seconds required to charge the submersible.

Use Custom Doors Mode Sets each door on the ship to this door type. This may cause a bug when exiting the tutorial room.

Use Legacy Audio In Multiplayer Does not make adjustments to the audio for multiplayer and instead only gives the first player audio. The custom multiplayer audio system is quite performance heavy and can cause lag spikes and audio issues in certain situations but plays the audio of all players instead of just player 1. Requires a restart to change and multiplayer to be enabled.

Use Multiple Displays If Possible The game will split up the players' views evenly across all available screens. Each screen must be set to the same resolution as the game uses on the first screen in order for the game to render correctly.

Level Generation Settings49 Settings

Add Additional Crew Deck Building Removes some of the cargo containers in front of the bridge and replaces them with a small crew deck building with another life raft on top of it.

Add Deck Cargo Holds Lets the cargo holds expand to the deck of the ship rather than being limited to the lower decks.

Add Deck Zero Adds a deck zero with access from deck 3 or deck 4 if it is enabled. If the Add Lower Deck Next To Engine Room setting is enabled then it will also connect to the staircases of that section.

Add Lower Deck Next To Engine Room Creates a new area over decks 1 and 2 that often connects to the engine room and optionally cargo holds. Also increases the spawn count of lower deck rooms a bit to help fill the additional space.

Aggressive Workshop Spawning Replaces nodes dedicated to decorative multi-floor engines by nodes that can spawn more workshops.

Allow Key Items To Not Spawn At All If the number of key items to spawn has been reduced to below 1, instead of setting them to 1 let them be 0.

Camera Timer Sets the timer for how long a camera needs until it triggers its alarm.

Change Key Item Spawn Numbers Changes the number of key items that may appear around the ship.

Consistent Level Generation Level generation for the same seed and settings will always be the same. This is setting is automatically enabled when using a custom seed.

Crazy Shuffle Removes limitations from region shuffling. Has a high chance of making the game unplayable without debug mode. May also stop the game from loading. Does nothing without the Shuffled Regions setting.

Diverse Item Spawns Allows items to be spawned in regions they may not previously have been found.

Extend Lower Decks A setting that has a similar effect to the extend map one, but only affects the lower decks and has much faster loading times. Also increases the spawn count of lower deck rooms a tiny bit to help fill the additional space.

Extend Map Lets the game generate rooms and corridors in usually inaccessible regions. This can cause certain regions to generate in visually unusual ways. Increases loading time considerably.

Extend Map Additively Lets any of the normal regions generate in usually inaccessible regions. Increases loading time considerably, even more than the Extend Map setting.

Include Unique Rooms In Count Change Also changes rooms that usually spawn only once in the room count change.

Increase Map Size X Component Increases the x dimension of the map. Further increases loading time if map is also set to be extended. The standard ship size is (76, 10, 16).

Increase Map Size Y Component Increases the y dimension of the map. Further increases loading time if map is also set to be extended. The standard ship size is (76, 10, 16).

Increase Map Size Z Component Increases the z dimension of the map. Further increases loading time if map is also set to be extended. The standard ship size is (76, 10, 16).

Increase Maximum Room Counts Increases the maximum times each room can occur. Increases loading time considerably.

Lengthened Cargo Hold Corridors Lets corridors going to the cargo hold go through the entire ship, not just to one side of the cargo hold.

No Barricaded Doors Removes the door of every barricaded room.

No Cameras All cameras are covered with duct tape.

No Doors Destroys all doors except the submersible room doors when starting the game.

No Pit Traps Destroys all pit traps when starting the game.

No Starter Fuse Teleports the fuse in the starter room to a random location.

No Steam Sets the engine room's steam override to off. Model does not update.

Number Of Corridors To Cargo Hold From Deck Three Lets one or both sides of deck 3 connect to the cargo hold. If the Use Deck Four On Submersible Side setting is enabled, then it will also similarly connect to the cargo hold. You can use 0, 1 or 2.

Number Of Corridors To Cargo Hold From New Lower Deck Has the same effect as the Number Of Corridors To Cargo Hold From Deck Three setting but specifies the number of corridors for the new lower deck. You can use 0, 1 or 2.

Number Of Shuffles The number of times to swap two regions in order to shuffle all regions.

Overpowered Steam Vents Lets steam be expelled from each possible point on a steam vent. This means every vent will have three steam spawn points and handles. Two handles will be clipped in each other, making it harder to turn off both.

Pre-fill Engine Room Fuse Box Pre-fills the fuxe box of the engine room.

Pre-fill Liferaft Fuse Box Pre-fills the fuse box for the liferaft's crane and lights.

Pre-fill Light Fuse Boxes Pre-fills all fuse boxes that power region lights (excluding the start region, liferaft, engine room and submersible fuse boxes).

Pre-fill Power Lock Fuse Boxes Pre-fills all fuse boxes of power-locked rooms.

Pre-fill Start Region Fuse Box Pre-fills the fuse box of the player's start region.

Pre-fill Submersible Fuse Box Pre-fills the fuse box of the submersible room.

Random Start Room Lets the player spawn in a random room in the ship rather than the standard start room.

Reduce Normal Number Of Corridors To Cargo Hold Stops one or both sides of deck 1 and 2 on the submersible side and deck 3 and 4 on the engine side from connecting to the cargo hold. You can use 0, 1 or 2.

Seed To Use The seed to use. The level seed only affects limited aspects of level generation.

Shortened Cargo Hold Corridors Lets corridors going to the cargo hold only go to the first possible door. This forces the player to go through the cargo hold's cargo containers instead of simply taking the stairs.

Shuffled Regions Shuffles where all the regions generate by swapping two regions at a time. The below setting tells the game how many times to swap regions. Each swap will increase the loading time of the game.

Spawn Additional Engine Room Workshops Spawns some more engine room workshops with phones.

Spawn Deactivated Items Lets the compass and walkie talkie items spawn. These items were spawned in older versions of the game, but later removed.

Spawn Items Anywhere Allows items to be spawned in any valid spot.

Starter Room Region Can be Upper Deck, Lower Deck or Either.

Unbreakable Pit Traps Pit traps are not destroyed when the player or monster runs over them.

Use Custom Seed Specify whether to use a custom seed or not. The level seed only affects limited aspects of level generation.

Add Sparky To The Game Adds an interpretation of the pre-alpha monster called Sparky to the game as a possible monster. Requires a restart to change.

Aggressive Hunter Hunter always comes out immediately after setting up traps.

Alternating Monsters Mode A variation of Many Monsters Mode. Instead of having all monsters active on the map at once, this setting will switch the monsters in and out throughout the round up to a limit. Requires Many Monsters Mode to be active.

Apply Chase Speed Buff To All Monsters Applies the chase speed buff to all monsters, not just the Brute.

Apply Door Teleportation To All Monsters Lets all monsters teleport through doors, not just the Fiend.

Apply Fiend Vision Cone Angle To All Monsters Applies the custom angle used for Fiend to all monsters.

Apply Long Range Wander Speed Buff To All Monsters Applies the long range wander speed buff to all monsters, not just the Brute.

Brute Chase Speed Buff Lets the Brute gradually go beyond its normal maximum speed when running at its highest speed during a chase, which lets the Brute be faster when running along straight paths.

Brute Chase Speed Buff Multiplier Defines how much faster than the normal chasing speed the Brute can get.

Brute Chase Speed Buff Rate Defines how quickly the chase speed buff is applied.

Brute Fire Shroud Gives Brute a fire shroud that keeps fire around it and lets it perform a fire blast.

Brute Long Range Wander Speed Buff Lets the Brute go even faster than the normal chase speed during their wander state when at long range from the player.

Brute Long Range Wander Speed Buff Multiplier Defines how much faster than the normal chasing speed the Brute can get during wandering at long range.

Custom Monster Scale Change the scale of a monster. Hitbox and speed scale alongside this. Making a monster too small or too big can impede its movement.

Fiend Mind Attack Attack Timer Charge Rate Changes how quickly Fiend charges a mind attack.

Fiend Mind Attack Damage Multiplier Changes how much damage Fiend's mind attack does.

Max Trap Slow Factor Decrease From Buff Sets how much the slow factor of Sparky electric traps can be decreased through Sparky's buff percentage. To slow down the player this value should not be higher than the base slow factor.

Maximum Monster Spawntime (seconds) A random number is chosen between this and the minimum value as the spawntime.

Minimum Monster Spawntime (seconds) A random number is chosen between this and the maximum value as the spawntime.

Monster Always Finds You In Hiding Spot Only guarantees the monster will pull you out if it checks your hiding spot.

Monster Animation Speed Multiplier Changes the speed of all the animations of a monster. Movement is bound to animations.

Monster Movement Speed Multiplier Decreases a monster's speed without decreasing the speed of its animations. Values above 1 will make the monster move closer to full running speed during other states, such as while wandering about or at the sub doors.

Monster Rotation Speed Multiplier Changes the rotation speed of a monster.

Monsters Search Randomly Monsters search the ship randomly instead of always going near the player. Alerting the monster will still cause it to go to your position.

No Monster Stun Immunity Removes the immunity time monsters have after being stunned.

Number Of Alternating Monsters The number of monsters to have active in Alternating Monsters Mode at one time.

Number of Brutes The number of Brutes to spawn.

Number of Fiends The number of Fiends to spawn.

Number of Hunters The number of Hunters to spawn.

Number of Random Monsters The number of randomly chosen monsters to spawn. These randomly chosen monsters are spawned additionally alongside monsters to spawn specified by type.

Persistent Monster Once a monster sees you, it will not stop chasing you.

Quiet Hunter Hunter will make much fewer noises when searching for the player after exiting a vent.

Region Electric Trap Life Time Sets how long region electric traps will stay on the floor when spawned.

Region Electric Trap Maximum Spawn Time Sets the maximum time between spawn chances of region electric traps.

Region Electric Trap Minimum Spawn Time Sets the minimum time between spawn chances of region electric traps.

Region Electric Trap Scale Multiplier Sets the scale multiplier of region electric traps. At the normal scale the width fills roughly one corridor piece.

Region Electric Trap Slow Factor Set the slow factor of region electric traps that can spawn when a region is electrified. The slow factor like a speed multiplier in the sense that it slows the player down for values between 0 and 1, but increments below roughly 0.8 are more noticeable than increments above 0.8.

Silent Monster The monster will not make any noise.

Slow Aura Maximum Slow Factor The maximum slowing that the slow aura exerts when close to the Fiend (1 is normal speed).

Smoke Shroud Radius Sets the radius of smoke shrouds.

Smoke Shroud Radius Danger Factor Sets what factor of the smoke shroud radius will be dangerous to the player. For example, 0.75 means three quarters of the radius is dangerous to the player.

Use Indev Sparky Model Uses a custom model for Sparky made by Naiden with placeholder animations. The monster will not function normally.

Varying Monster Sizes Slightly changes the scale of each monster.

Add Molotov Gives smashable bottles a 33% chance to spawn as a molotov. When smashed, the bottle will spawn fire that can stun the monster like lit fuel.

Add Smoke Grenade Gives smashable bottles a 33% chance to spawn as a smoke grenade. When smashed, the bottle will emit smoke that can stun the monster like fire extinguisher powder and block its vision.

Better Smashables Makes smashables not break when they impact with only a small velocity.

Custom Player Scale Change the scale of the player. Hitbox scales alongside this, but not speed. Can make monsters not see the player when they should be able to.

Disable Running Stops the player from being able to run.

Extended Jump Cooldown Increases the jump cooldown to stop the player from being able to jump in midair.

Extra Lives Allows you to teleport back to the starter room instead of dying if you have additional lives remaining. Also gives a few seconds of spawn protection.

Fire Duration Multiplier Changes the duration of how long fires burn.

Flare Lifetime Sets the time that flares burn after being shot out of a flare gun.

Flares Disable Monsters Disables any monster hit by a flare.

Flares Teleport Monsters Teleports any monster hit by a flare away from the player.

Infinite Fire Extinguisher Fuel Fire extinguishers will have infinite fuel.

Infinite Flashlight Power Flashlights will have infinite power.

Infinite Fuel Can Fuel Fuel cans will have infinite fuel.

Inventory Size Changes how many inventory slots you have when starting a game.

Looping Radio Makes the radio loop its playlist instead of playing only from the start of the first song when turned on after all tracks have played once.

Maximum Value On FOV Slider Allows you to customise your FOV Slider. Set minimum to -180 and maximum to 180 for full range of FOVs. This sets the maximum value of the FOV slider.

Molotov Duration The number of seconds the molotov will be active.

Monster Compass Makes compasses point towards the nearest monster.

Overpowered Flare Gun Removes the cooldown from the flare gun, lets it fire infinite flares and stun any monster.

Player Movement Speed Multiplier Only affects horizontal movement.

Player Stamina Mode Activates a custom stamina system that will slow the player's running speed down the longer they run.

Player Stamina Mode Stamina Duration Defines in seconds how long it will take for the player to lose their stamina and get to roughly their lowest running speed.

Player Stamina Mode Stamina Penalty Defines as a percentage how much of a penalty is applied to the running speed of the player when they lose their stamina. The scale is from 0 (running speed) to 100 (walking speed).

Player Stamina Mode Standing Recovery Factor Defines the rate at which the player's stamina will be recovered when standing still.

Smoke Grenade Duration The number of seconds the smoke grenade will be active.

Spawn With Flare Gun Gives the player a flare gun at the start of the game.

Unlock Player Head Lets the player look up and down by the full 90 degrees instead of being locked to the default 60 degrees.

Unsmashables Makes smashables never smash. Try holding the throw button! Just a fun setting.

Walkie Talkie Range The maximum distance between two walkie talkies for them to be connected.

Always Skip Menu Screen Will always skip the menu screen, even after finishing a round. Not recommended as it makes changing settings between rounds difficult and does not let access the main menu.

Current Challenge Name The name of the currently selected challenge. This setting is used as a reference for the mod's code and should only be edited by loading a challenge through the challenges menu.

Custom Music Pack Replaces the default game's soundtrack with music from Monstrum 2. Pack 1: Main Menu. Pack 2: Helipad. Pack 3: Moon Pool. Pack 4: Hisa Maru. Random: Randomly choose one custom pack to use. All: Switch the pack used after each chase.

Disable Custom Loading Screen Text The game will not tell you whether the mod is installed correctly during the loading screen. Not recommended.

Disable Monster Particles Turns off the particles that the Brute and the Fiend emit. May have a small impact on increasing performance when using many Brutes and / or Fiends. Can be used to maximum effect with monster update groups.

Do Not Pre-Render Monsters Can increase performance but can also cause monsters to be invisible for a short time when first coming into view of the player.

Do Not Render Brute's Light Turns off the light shafts Brute emits from their face. Can have a big impact on increasing performance when using many Brutes.

Enable Debug Mode Use G to toggle invincibility / god mode. Enables noclip using U, H, J & K, which can be toggled on and off using V. While noclip is on you will receive no fall damage. Use R, T & Y/Z to spawn an additional Brute, Hunter and Fiend. Use B, N & M to force a chase, force stop a chase and burn hunters / force them to retreat. Use comma and period to activate and deactivate monsters. Use I, O & P to fix the liferaft, helicopter and submersible. Allows for cloning of a radio and two walkie talkies with L and fuses with semicolon [GB/US] or Ü [DE]. Use apostrophe or hashtag to teleport all items to you. Removes jump cooldown to allow moon jumping.

Enable Mod Disables the mod the next time the game is started. The mod must be enabled again by manually editing or deleting the modSettings file. This setting can be found by scrolling down to the Utility Settings category.

Glowstick Radar Shows the distance to the nearest inactive glowstick. Quite laggy. Aids in testing Glowstick Hunt. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Invincibility / God Mode In Debug Mode The monster cannot attack you, you receive no fall damage and steam does not damage you.

Invisibility In Debug Mode Monsters cannot see you.

Log Debug Text Lets the game log a lot of extra information that lags the game but can be useful when fixing bugs.

Monster Radar Shows the distance to the nearest monster. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Number Of Monster Update Groups The number of monster update groups to use.

Player Region Node Text Shows on the screen what region node the player is currently in. Aids in making level generation modifications. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Player Stamina Mode Stamina Text Shows on the screen what your current running speed multiplier is. Aids in testing Stamina Mode. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Show Speedrun Timer On Screen Shows the speedrun timer on the screen on top of logging times. Cannot run at the same time as other text-displaying options.

Skip Menu Screen Will skip the menu screen on startup so that a new round is automatically started without having to click on New Game. Causes visual bugs while loading.

Skip Splash Screen Will skip the splash screen on startup but not start a new round immediately.

Speedrun Timer Logs how long the player has spent on a round. The time when the round starts, the player leaves the starter room and finishes the round are recorded.

Timescale Can make the game run slower or faster.

Use "Wallhacks" In Debug Mode Most walls will be see-through (requires SSAO and Fog for full effect).

Use Monster Update Groups Divide multiple monster AIs up into several update groups, where only one group of monster AIs is updated fully per frame. Can significantly decrease CPU usage at the cost of reducing how often monster AIs update. Maximum number of groups is equal to the number of monsters being used. Very high values may actually decrease performance.

Use Wander Theme From Start Uses the monster's wander theme from the very start of the game. This lets a music pack's theme be used from the start of the game without revealing the monster.
